What you need

tbsp vegan margarine

cup grits

tsp salt
Instructions
Add water to medium sized pot. Bring water to a boil, then add grits. Reduce temperature to low and cover. Stir occasionally for about 5 minutes. Making sure to get out any clumps. Add butter into your grits and continue simmering for about 10 minutes. Whisk in your plant milk (I use Cashew milk for its thickness, but feel free to use whichever non-dairy milk you prefer). Keep stirring occasionally, checking for clumps, and tasting to see if you need more salt. Once grits are thick and creamy to your liking, remove from heat and serve.View original recipe
